Chapter six

Wingslash’s secrets

Wingslash flew through the forest. He was in a hurry. Then he came to a big pile of old trees blocking the pathway. He took a pathway toward the team paths. He took a yellow one saying Thunder team. He came back to Chire forest. He saw four dragons there. One was big with massive shoulders.  He was dark with yellow stripes coming down his head, and he had amber eyes. The other one had blue scales and had magnificent golden streams coming down her body and had blue eyes.

The teenager dragon had blue scales and golden eyes; the young girl was white with golden eyes.  “Hi dad, hi mom, hi Andai, and hi Sillia.” Said Wingslash happily.  “Hi “said the dragons.  Then Andai the teenager boy dragon said “How was it today?”  Wingslash looked down.  “Terrible.” He sighed. Andai patted his back.” It is alright soon you will get new friends and maybe a wife.” Andai said. Wingslash smiled. “How is it going with Karen?” asked Wingslash. “Good, and her little brother Hunter is my apprentice.  Kaden, her older brothe,r is going to try to make an new team.” Said Andai. Wingslah looked to his mom. “By the way how is river team going?” asked Wingslash. His mom smiled. “Great.” Said his mom. The family had a great time, they talked and laughed. Then Wingslash finally left.

A black female dragon was near Wingslash. While Wingslash walked, he then came face to face with the black dragon. “Hi “said the dragon. Wingslash breathed heavily, and then flew away. In two seconds the dragon caught up with him. She stopped him then she calmed him down.  “My name is Midnight,” said the black dragon. “Want to race?” she asked. “I never did one before.” Said Wingslash nervously. “Trust me, it is fun.” Midnight said smiling at him. Wingslash nodded. They went to a field of marigold flowers. Wingslash got his feet ready. He looked at Midnight. She was a fast dragon. He got ready. Then she said “Go!” He flew fast. Then he saw a black flash past him. It was Midnight! “Yes!” he said. Finally he could get back. Then he bumped into a tree. Wingslash fell in the marigold flowers. Midnight laughed. Wingslash laughed too. They both started laughing. They both had fun together. They frolicked through the marigold fields. They both returned to the forest, morning dew slacked off the trees. Wingslash learned from racing. Always watch out.

Wingslash and Midnight got interrupted by calls. “Midnight!” ”Midnight!” cried voices. Six Dragons appeared. Wingslash backed away. “Would you like to play capture the flag?” asked Draco. “Sure!” said Midnight smiling. “Would you too?” asked Midnight. “Ok…” said Wingslash. While they walked to the place they usually play, Wingslash felt something he never felt before. Then he found out it was love.

Chapter five

A Fresh New Day

The light beamed through the window. He got up from his moss bed and yawned.  He wanted to go back to sleep but today he was going to meet his new mentor. While he flew through the burned vines he saw Vover’s arm.  He too was exhausted from the fight he had the last day. While he flew to Dragon rock (where they had their meetings) he thought of getting Willow again! He had to get Karver, Freiv, or Slether! Draco saw a squirrel in the trees; Draco was in a hurry.  He forgot to get breakfast, so he snatched up the squirrel and flew on.

An hour and thirty minutes later, everyone was ready for the meeting. “Attention all dragons!” roared Karver who was on the edge of Dragon Mountain. “Today we have lost a very brave apprentice who was going to be a warrior today,” Firebreath said sadly. Firebreath continued on. “He is Vover! I know lots of you are sad but he will be in Dislexia with his ancestors,” said Firebreath. “Tomorrow we will bury him.” Firebreath finished. Holly cried while he said this. Today she had a very bad day. Firewing and Lillia tried to comfort Holly. Also, Dislexia was a place where the bravest and smartest dragons go when they are dead. “Well today our apprentices get their official mentors!” said Karver. The apprentices cheered and clapped. “But first we would like to welcome a new dragon to the team,” said Firebreath. A dragon walked through the crowd. He was white with blue eyes and when anyone looked at his wings you could see sharp diamond blades. Lots of the apprentices were scared and backed away. Draco was the only apprentice who was not scared and his friends. “His name is Wingslash,” said Karver. ”Joria,” he said turning to Joria. “Would you like to mentor Wingslash?” she nodded her head and walked toward Wingslash. Firebreath nodded his head. Then he turned his head to Draco. “Draco. You will get your new apprentice today.” Firebreath said looking at him. “Slether Would you like to train Draco?” asked Firebreath. “Yes.” Replied Slether. Draco’s ears rang hearing this.

 Then after one hour all the apprentices were done.  Then Karver said “Air team hunters are dying.” He said. Gasps came from the crowd. Then Firebreath said “Flamebird, Kunner, Tiggeressa and One eye would you like to hunt?” he asked. They all nodded yes. “Meeting done!” roared Firebreath over the crowds. Draco watched as Wingslash slipped to Chire forest.

Author’s Note: Sorry I didn’t all get your characters in this time. I plan to in Chapter 7.

Chapter four
The Fight


Draco and Firewing flew as fast as they could. They went through tunnels, peaks, mountains,hills, and caves. They finally came to a forest full of vines. In the distance was the apprentice den. Draco flew really fast again. " Help!" yowled Firewing who was stuck in some vines. Draco was near the apprentice den but he had to help Firewing, so he turned back to help Firewing. Just then, a sharp stick connected to a vine fell off a tree on Firewing's wing. It made a terrible hole through her wing. "Help!!!!!!!" she yowled in pain.  When Draco was near Firewing, Vover emerged from the trees. "What do you want from me?!" asked Draco angrily. " To get you," said Vover laughing.  "Why are you acting like an Evil team dragon!?" yelled Firewing trying to break through the vines. Just then Draco saw one of the grossest things he had ever seen.

( Warning: if you don't like skin shedding or scales taking over the body and eyes changing color you should skip this part as soon as possible! Thank you.)

Vover's skin looked unusual.  Then  Vover's skin shedded.  Black scales covered Vover's skin. Then instead of  blue eyes his eyes turned white, then turned a menacing red color. Draco smiled while the transformation occurred. " Why are you smiling?" hissed Firewing quietley. Draco pointed at a dragon behind them. " Oh!" said Firewing smiling. Vover finished his transformation after one minute. " You know it would been worse if green horns popped up," said Draco in relief. Green horns popped up from Vover's ears. " Oh that is much better," said Draco rolling his eyes. Draco pointed behind Vover. " What is it!" said Vover turning around. Behind them all was Firebreath. Draco and Firewing smiled and gave Firebreath a thumbs up. Firebreath threw a fireball at the vines. Firewing was free now. A black streak came out of the apprentice den. It flashed and sent Vover into an unstable tree. Vover's wing got stuck on a branch. Flamebird flew out of the apprentice den and whacked Vover hard.  The tree looked like it was going to fall. Then Draco flew toward Vover. He knew he had to hit Vover hard so the tree would fall. Then Draco hit Vover harder then anyone. Draco got out of the way just in time as the tree fell. Vover was dead.

Holly and her apprentice, Lillia, were walking around the apprentice den. Then Holly came to Firebreath. What happened to Vover?" she asked. " Oh he went for a nightly flight." said Firebreath."Oh, ok," she said happily and walked away with Lillia.

"Alright apprentices, you should get some rest! It is 12:00! Firebreath said relieved. " And good job to all of you," he added.

Draco got into apprentice den and rested on his bed. " Tomorrow is going to be a new day," he thought.

Author's note: A good fight, wasn't it? The black streak dragon is going to be a mystery :) and I guess we won't see Vover again!

Chapter three
Slether


Draco flew quickly to Slether's den. When he got to Slether's  den, he saw Slether sipping tea on his porch. "Hi Slether! " said Draco. Slether turned away from his drink. " Hi Draco! Come, you can have a seat, said Slether.  Draco sat down. "So what is the problem?"  asked Slether. Draco hesitated for a moment. Then he blurted out what happened.


 "I see..." said Slether. When Draco turned back to Slether he was drinking his tea. "Just ignore Willow," said Slether. "You are special just the way you are," Slether added. Draco was happy about what Slether said.

Just then he saw a familiar dragon. " Hi Draco!" said the dragon. " Oh hi Firewing!" said Draco, reconizing the dragon. "Firebreath told me to pick you up so we can go to the trainee den because it is late, " said Firewing. "You are right Firewing, but can I say goodbye to Slether?" asked Draco. "Fine," Firewing said.  "Bye Slether!" Draco said. "Bye Draco!" said Slether.

Firewing and Draco flew to the trainee den. "What's the news?" asked Draco. "Tommorow we are getting new mentors and these mentors will be our official  mentors," said Firewing. "Any pranks?" asked Draco. "Nothing much, but Vover is telling embarissing stories about you and calling you bad names," said Firewing. "Lets hear it!" said Draco.

Chapter two
Trouble

Draco wanted his last day of training to end.  The daily flight was the last activity of the day. He hurried until he saw his other brother, Flamebird. He was half dragon and half bird. "Hi Flamebird!" said Draco. "Hi Draco!" replied Flamebird. "How ya doing?" said Draco. "Great" replied Flamebird looking up. Just then he felt claws sink into his shoulder. He tumbled out of the sky and was about to hit a tree when he suddenly stopped. He looked up and saw a girl dragon coverd with bright red scales and with hazel eyes.

"Attack of the air dragon!" roared Flamebird laughing. "Dawn that is not funny!" said Draco. "You too, Flamebird," said Draco.  Flamebird stopped laughing. "Why aren't you training with Tornado?" asked Draco clapping off the dust on him. "Tornado said I finished training and I can do anything I want, even attack an evil team member," said Dawn. Draco stared at her blankly.

Just then Flamebird and Dawn frowned. "What?" asked Draco. Dawn pointed to a dragon storming toward him. It was Willow! "Why aren't you doing your daily flight!?" asked Willow screaming. " I was saying hi to my friends and I will get back to it now," said Draco bravely." No! You ruined the last day of training with me!" screamed Willow " You will never be a dragon of fire!" she added. Draco flew away and felt like crying. Flamebird and Dawn flew beside him. "It is ok" said Dawn. " You can visit Slether" recommended Flamebird.  Draco brightend up a bit. He liked visisting Slether.


Author's note: One of my friends asked if he can get a character on and that was Flamebird (His character). And Carrot80948's character is Dawn. Also you can make your character in the comment area. Here are the teams and what they do: Fire team (makes peace and fights), Air team (Gets food for teams), Thunder team ( Helps teams), Evil team ( kills team members. Never helped.) Be sure to comment often!

Chapter one
Strange Memories

Draco looked in the distance. Another day of training by willow, a Dragon of Fire. He looked in the distance remembering Li,his owner in China. He remembered the time when dragons were China's royal pet. It was peacful with Li until Shadow,a dragon who took the place as Evil Team Leader from Cackle the Queen of evil dragons.  She became the deputy because she was too old. Shadow was smart and told the other evil team members to disguise themselves like the dragons from China and attack China!

Twenty people died during the attack. The chinese emperor was so furious that he sent the dragons from China away. Draco wanted to forget this memory but that meant he would forget Li. Draco's older brother Firebreath was the leader of a Fire Team. You may be thinking why would Draco want to be a dragon of fire?? Well if he was a Dragon of Fire he would be able to make enough peace so that the Chinese and the dragons could live together again.

The Fire Team had not made any peace with the Chinese, but four dragons named Karver, Slether, Friev, and Willow had made some peace with the Chinese. They started a team called the Dragons of Fire. Draco did not really want to be a Dragon of Fire. Instead he would have happily flown back to Li, but this was his only chance to see Li again. There had to be five Dragons of Fire to make enough peace to be with the Chinese again.  The Dragons of Fire also had to fight.  Karver was deputy because he was the best dragon at making peace. Karver made one hundred percent of peace each day. Other dragons could make only one percent of peace each day.  After making too much peace one day, Karver lost his peace powers. So the three Dragons of Fire made a total of only three percent of peace each day.

On the ninth of May, Karver could use a little of his peace powers again. Willow, Draco's mentor, was in fact terrible at mentoring. She promised to show him a special move the next day but instead she showed them ant moves.  He was lost in thought until a thundery voice startled him. It was Firebreath!"Why aren't you doing your daliy flight like Willow told you!?" Firebreath said in a thundery voice.  Draco was about to say "But..." when Firebreath roared spewing fire "Get to your daily flight!!!!!!!!!!!" Hurrying, Draco flew out in the distance. He wished he had an easier life.

Authors note: Some strange memories.... By the way if you could hit Firebreath with one hundred pieces of raw meat you can. Also you can tell what you feel about the first chapter.
